    Too Many Domain Names

I just had a quick tot-up & I currently posess 20+ doamin names. How many do I use? Personally 2, elsdest 2 kids use theirs from time-to-time. All seems pretty pointless.

Anyone else have this problem? Domain name glut? Got any good ones?

I used to have loads too, but dropped / sold some off.
Now i only own the one for my clan (clan-omega.com) and a personal one, that i need to sort the site for, information-database.com
I have been offered some decent amounts for information-database.com, just dont want to sell it.

I own about 30 odd. I use two personal ones (well one really...other is my old site and I'm only keeping it going because it's my email addy and I have a bunch of pictures stored there) plus my cousin uses the domain I bought for his film and my Dad has his personal site whilst he's in Iraq.

Yes. All the time. Worst thing is realising I've spent well over $300 on domain names in my life.

I have got a website in development at the moment, I wont tell you what the address is till I configure it correctly but it has something to do with a massive technology that is gonna hit our country in the next year or so.

    Watch this space.

Apart from that I only own two other ones.

I too have a fair few domains, but its time that stops me getting on top of them.

one of the things that interests me, yet annoys me at the same time is pointless domains for big companies.

    for example,

cars, www.renault.co.uk - should have all the details you need about renualt cars so for example

shop.renault.co.uk for renault merchendise, parts.renault.co.uk for parts, www.renault.co.uk/clio for info on the clio so that one parent domain and many subdomains/sub sites could branch of.....no this is too easy.

    www.renault.co.uk
    www.renaultclio.co.uk
    www.reneultsport.co.uk etc etc etc

I use renault as a hypotheticl example.

Movies do this a lot, instead of www.sony.co.uk/spiderman you get www.spidermanthemovie.co.uk or www.thesun.co.uk/spiderman ???(whats that sort of thing all about)

Microsoft do this quite well, yet also not good

support.microsoft.co.uk, windowsupdate.microsoft.co.uk www.microsoft.co.uk/windows200 etc. Not bad for an annoying company, but then they break the form with www.xbox.co.uk

there are lots of pro's to doing this, its just a pet hate.
    It is Inevitable.....
