for a start, the shadows of the people dont match up with the shadow of the plane, slightly different angle, and secondly..that would not happen, the plane would be at least 50m-100m high at the start of the runway.

EDIT: Sorry, is this meant to look realistic, and its something you've photoshopped? The plane looks way too sharp compared with the background and people.

That's Nice airport AFAIK....I've landed there a couple of times and it is right over the Med. The shadows look real to me. Bear mind a 747 is flipping enormous....in the pic it's still at least 15m off the ground.

Edit: unless it's in Orlando like the pic says. Nice is similar, that's all I know.

wow, the video is cool! I am really surprised the beach actually extends across that bit, surprised there is no clearance boundary-like a no go zone on the beach. That was a turquiose KLM plane, whats with the Air france plane?

Obviosly never seen a plane land up close. At Filton (Bristol) when one of the bigger planes come in they close the road which is just infront of the run way. I have seen Concorde (and some 747's and Airbuses) come in there and it was definitely less than 50m high at the start of the runway. Shadows - I suggest you learn about the way rise and fall of land changes the direction of shadows.

The old approach to Hong Kong airport had the pilots lifting a wing halfway down the finals to safely clear a block of flats... I've stood on the roof of them and watch 747s go by BELOW me.
