Well today we recceived our long awaited letter from the Canadian Embassy allowing us to enter the country and obtain work permits. This means that as soon as we sell our house we will be off to live in Vancouver, and if we like it we will apply for permanent residency. WooHoo

I thought you couldn't just go and live there unless there are certain circumstances?

I was actually discussing places where me and the missus could possibly go to live in the future. Canada was a high ranking one for sure.

I don't think you need any particular circumstances to get a citizenship/work permit, but I think there is some form of points system that determines whether you qualify or not.

hey, i've had an idea - how about a HEXUS MAP. where the members (regular members only?) have their locations whacked onto a map a-la-blue peter style. then when anyone of us goes on our round the world trip we can stop off along the way!

As far as immigration goes we pass the points test and my wife already has a job lined up, as she is a nurse in ITU here and she will be there too. We arrive get our permits and then apply immediately for permanent residency as that takes upto 12 months to come through.
