Good quality, quiet desk/floor standing fan? For the summer

I bought a fairly cheap one 2 years ago and its making a bit of a racket now.

A friend has this one:

Which is very quiet and solid, but £35? Is that a good price or does anyone know of a good one for less?

There jsut like PC fans, big ones are quieter as they dont have to spin as fast to move as much air. Think big.
