stuff that can be tacken out of its original packaging so it looks like its hers...it'll look a little obvious if she came over with something in its box etc.

Doesn't matter, personal import allowance has gone up to £1000.

Has that definately kicked in yet? I was in Canada about 6 weeks ago and on my return all the posters said that the limit was still ~£150. I was told that it doesn't take effect until 6 months after the budget announcement...Doesn't matter, personal import allowance has gone up to £1000.
£1k allowance? hmmm...photographic equipment is cheaper over there...I wonder...[me ponders feasibility of trip across the pond to return with more photographic kit that would otherwise cost a bit over here.

If you're bothered about watching UMD PSP movies from the UK, don't get a US one - they're region coded like DVDs. If you just want to play games, they're region free, but I got one from Japan for full compatability (Region 2 like UK, USA is Region 1).
PSP/Camera/Clothes
Trainers are still a good buy
