    Destroy the planet

    Somebody has been plotting:

    http://ned.ucam.org/~sdh31/misc/destroy.html

    Best thing I've read in ages... oddly.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();

    Surely we could just nuke it, loads, on one side so it would spin off balance and tear itself apart?

    *goes to fetch nukes*

    So the Earth is 4.5 billion years old yet its core is still at 5000°C, despite most of the Earth's surface being watercooled.

    Earth is the worst heatsink ever!

    Pffft. I reckon if someone dropped a Zalman reserator in the wrong place the earth would cool down completely and that would be that.

    My favourite feasible way of destroying the Earth is with Von Neumann machines.
    Once you have your von Neumann machine built, release it into the ground under the Earth's crust and allow it to fend for itself. Watch and wait as it creates a second von Neumann machine, then they create two more, then they create four more. As the population of machines doubles repeatedly, the planet Earth will, terrifyingly soon, be entirely eaten up and turned into a swarm of potentially sextillions of machines.
    However, Mike Trainor's idea is by far the funniest:
    Just because we don't have the technology to destroy the planet doesn't mean no one else in the universe does. What you need to do is to point our most powerful radio-telescope transmitters at likely solar systems and taunt them. 'The girly-beings in your miserable solar system could never destroy a planet as cool as this one...'
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();
