'ow much is your leccy bill?

as topic really.. at the mo i'm getting done for £55 a month, in a flat where we dont have gas, but we dont have the heating/hot water on - i was wondering if this is reasonable or whether i'm being f*cked over it..

edit : my flat is an average sized 2 bed place..

I was paying £51 direct debit, which covered the winter too... always make sure you give an accurate reading, as they were going on past readings for my average bill, and there were 2 people in my flat before me.

No gas, 1 bed apartment type thing.

We have a key meter, and I tend to put a tenner in every 8 or 9 days- a bit less now that the heating's off, but not much. It's economy 7 so I got my uncle to wire a timer in so the immersion heater only comes on early in the morning. I think a lot of the electricity usage is my 5.6GHz worth of AXP crunching power running 24/7.....

My bf has electric only in his "2 bedroom" (more like studio with 2 walk in cupboards and a shower cupboard) flat, 1 storage heater (i hate it with a vengence!) and a boiler type thingy under the sink (can you tell i run on gas in my house? )

Anyways, he managed to get a bill for £160 for 3 months. I've tried looking at when his heating goes on and off, but it's only on for like 3 hours a day, he's only on his pc for 4 hours a night and has a shower aout 4 times a week. I dont understand why its so high tho, cos i'm in all day on my pc, watching tv etc and i only use £5 a week.... and we have a card metre (supposedly more expensive!)
