Some people are just born daft .
1. Why buy a virtual sword in the 1st place?
2. Why kill someone over it?
MADNESS!!!

At least he didn't get death penalty :O

This is easy. It was a matter of principal. The person explicitly agreed to pay him 7,200 yuan upon reciving the sword, then absconded with the money. He got exactly what he deserved, he was a liar and a deal breaker.Originally Posted by ajbrun
If they want to sentince the killer to life in prision for being moronic enough to pay 800 dollars for a virtual sword, I might be ok with that, but I feel he did the right thing by killing this guy (if the agreement was actually broken). If everyone took their agreements this seriously, I think the world would be a significantly better place.
No, I am not joking.
if there were no laws to protect me, then i'd personally give them a very sevear kicking, yes.. especially if the guy stole something that meant a lot to me (which i presume this would).. he woudlnt get out without any broken bones..

man, some people need to get out more O_O
And oral pain needs anti psychotic medication!
Not around too often!
He should have tied him up, kicked him around a bit, then transfered all of the guys items to him account
If I caught them in the act and they did not immediatly stop, yes, I would, as I could reasonably expect to get away with it without significant punishment. If I found out about it later, taking what was mine back and giving the thief a good beating (or taking bakc twice what the thief took, if this was not possible) would suffice.Originally Posted by ajbrun
However, most thieves that would break into a house and steal something would not have previously agreed not to do this, so their crime is a lesser sort. Breaking an agreement is the crime that would really set me off, not the actual loss of property.
I prefer to stay away from mind altering drungs, esp those approved by the FDA.Originally Posted by menthel

Shiato, please, the only time I ever see you posting in threads about online gaming is to say "people need to get a life" and as above, "people need to get out more".Originally Posted by shiato storm
Whilst I agree that this is a crazy subject, I wouldn't condone someone for wanting to buy a virtual item. I would personally think it was mad, but I wouldn't try to insult their choice of lifestyle.
And the online gaming community is so big now it's comments like those above that could end up meaning you're offending hundreds of thousands of people in one go.
Would you like someone to say you were sad/stupid/crazy for getting up early in the morning and going cycling or rowing? No, coz you wouldn't like it.
