Hmm, I've seen some things like that before, which say they are a new browser but its not, it just uses IE with a ton of addons, no names come to mind at the moment (forgotten), but yeah..

I like the look of it, the RSS feed support looks great.

Not great pics... true, BUT the only ones floating around at the moment.

In the end, everyone knows IE will probably still suck.

It all smax of a little too late for me as they are gonna have trouble recapturing an already inticed audience in firefox users with featueres that have been in use for a while now, and Longhorn luvs RSS makes me feel ill....

    I agree .

Especially the "search the web" search bar that is in the same place as the google search in firefox. Like others have said, there's absolutley no reason to change from firefox as I'm sure even in IE7, FF will be far more secure, and will bring out patches much quicker than MS.

Ever tried standardising Firefoxes settings in an organisation?
    Ever tried deploying firefox?
That is why firefox will remain an enthusiasts browser for the forseeable future (BTW I use FF at home)

    Firefox is:

    * More secure - less faults or less that people hack into anyway
    * Gets patched quicker - when a fault is found, it's updated far quicker compared to IE
    * You get extensions - you can customise the look feel, and everything about the browser.

Some of the extensions I have are:

    * IE view - loads a page in IE if it fails to load in FF (some do )
    * Forcastfox - shows the weather in a toolbar
    * Image zoom - enables you to zoom any image from the browser
    * Reload every - when set, it reloads a page for the set length of time (I use it to see what's on a radio station, or for ebay updates)

You don't have to get rid of IE to you it (not that you can anyway), so if you don't like FF (not that you wouldn't), you can always go back to IE. Try it, it's free, so you've got no reason not too!

imo firefox is a bit like winamp, compared to media player it could do a bit more a few years ago, with lots of add-ons, but nowadays media player is getting close to being as good, if not better in some respects.

ff will probably never be so widely used as ie. for starters, there is little reason for most users to download a browser when they already have a fully functioning browser on their desktop - also companies will probably never bother to roll-out more software onto computers..

personally i still use iexplorer, and will for a while. it has usability features which ff doesnt have, and i prefer it for that reason.

As said above, i love FF and prob will never change from it however looking at it from a company POV its not going ot be rolled out over a large user base... everything is kept as much to standard as possible and the main problems which secruity holes doesnt matter since other secruity puts an end to that anyway
