    Computer Desks

Anybody know of any reviews of pc desks. It seems to be the one piece of essential computer hardware that's neglected.

I was about to suggest that beast.... it takes a whole aluminium mining field to produce that desk, made by a 1000 vietnamese children in rags (refer to Little Britain joke ) and crafted by Jesus, Elvis, John Lennon and Mr Bean. Masterpiece.

Lol probably the most contraversal reply I've ever posted. Expec this to be in tomorrows Ok! magazine...

(BTW that desk costs over 2k to those who don't know)

ON a serious note the Ikea Jerker desks are famously good for computer users, and there are quite a few combinations you can do with them. Roughly half of hardocp own those things. Good that Ikea edmonton opened 10 mins away from me (no joke )

Any chance of winning one of these in a Hexus compo? (And who's the lucky person who can review it? )

i have a practical pc desk.

especially for a bedroom type person, i got room for tv, video, dvd, console, monitor, speaker stands computer, cd racks and a pullout draw for input devices

Dont have a link or picture as i cant remember where i got it from, but its really well designed and very practical

Oh my god, that's the cheapest and nastiest looking desk I've ever seen. I never was a fan of Lian-Li cases, and can't say I've been converted by their quite frankly staggeringly overpriced slab of tinfoil that looks like it was created as a school project.

(No I'm not jealous, no I wouldn't want one, it looks tacky and disgusting and not unlike a chef's kitchen worktop :-))

I was actually picturing the lian li desk when I started the thread, although at over 2 grand and I think a 2 month waiting list I should prolly set my sights lower. I've got a high quality oak redwood desk http://www.plycraft.com/main6_15_04/de5424_m.html
Really great and sturdy but my case is a thermaltake xaser iii and won't fit in the computer space so it is resting on top of the hutch.

    1. Get an 8x4 sheet of mdf
    2. Cut it to the shape you want in a curvy fashion with a jigsaw.

    job's a guddun

pah.. all these fancy PC desks.

Take 1 old kitchen unit - double sized with the thick work top surface and adjustable legs.

Remove the OAK doors and voila 1 perfect PC desk - ideal surface for an optical mouse, 22" CRT and 19" TFT and still enough space to gather 10 coffee cups, 8 bottles of Budweiser and 16 Miller cans without hindering Gaming space

I've a nice pine-coloured wooden table, which is big enough to stick pc's underneath and a shuttle and 2 x 17" iiyama's on top ... it's more than enough
