Have they taken your money? If so get onto your credit card company and tell them to cancel the charges, you wont get the tv, but youll get the money at least. Dabs dont have to sell you it, provided they offer you a full refund.Originally Posted by speedy_s
no they haven't taken the money thankfully but is it definite they are not going to sell the tv?

i would say so. cancel the order
hughlunnon@yahoo.com | I have sigs turned off..
Looks like a price error to me? They should have been upfront about it, but they're within their rights not to sell it to you if they haven't charged your card.
Every time I have tried to order something from Dabs, they have managed to balls it up. Each time in a different way. They just don't seem to be able to get the things I order to me! I don't bother with them these days.
Maybe you should post a review in the hexus.trust section?

This is what led me to post a review in hexus.trust and trust me dabs didn't get a gud rating!!Originally Posted by bertie
not true, once the contract has been formed (taking the money means this MUST of been formed) you can actually sue them for loss of bargin.Originally Posted by herulach

I bought 4 * 19" TFTs from ebuyer, thinking wow at this price i can get rid of all the CRTs that are slowly dieing, ebuyer took my money, ignored my communications for a week, refunded it. So i sent them a letter via recorded delivery, stating how the contract was formed, what the contract was for, and the fact that i would be at a loss of bargin if i had to buy the units from someone else, and asked them to either supply the TFTs or the cash difference. They supplied the TFTs.

I hate etailers that use the webnotes system of contacting them like Dabs.
No option of phoning them up to speak to a person or even regular email, just those flaming webnotes.
Ah, yes, that is incredibly annoying! After having to resort to OcUK's webnotes system to sort out an RMA for a shoddy motherboard it made me think twice about relying on such a system in future. It's so much easier to sort out that sort of thing over the phone!Originally Posted by GuruJockStrap
I hate there website, thats a good enuf reason to not use them imho
thats why somewhere like scan is much better...if there is a problem you get to speak to a REAL person, not leave a note for someone to maybe see in passing, weeks later.

I've only ordered off them twice. Second order was a cheap printer - went ok.
The first order I placed (some years ago) I was sent a case with a fan missing. Returned it and they charged me for the courier even though they promised not to.
In short best to avoid a company where there is no contact telephone number.
Right now the thing is i took finance from them(another company) and they have taken £25 out of my account but now as the order is cancled i think i lose that £25, newways will phone the finance company up.
