Off to China :D

Rightyhoo, so tomorrow I'm flying out to China for two weeks holiday.

Anyone here been? I'm going to Shanghai and Beijing.

What should I keep my eyes peeled for? Any good gadgets I should try to get while I'm there?

Bejing is fantastic..... I so enjoyed my two weeks there last year.

If you get the chance go to the Great Wall, its a day trip, but very worthy.

The Forbidden palace is also very good.

Never been to Shanghai, but its on my list

Beijing is so not what I expected... very Westernised now... except you'll be hard pushed to find a McDonalds (thank the Lord for small mercies).

I saw the largest KFC I have seen in my LIFE in Beijing though... it was the size of a small shopping center!

I've only ever been on business a couple of times, out in the countryside it is very beutiful. The teracotta army is cool.

watch out for all the pirate DVDs you'll be offered - and food is cheap if you go off-peak buffet places.
