    have you tried getting in contact with manficaturer of rare gear?

    Some amps might be very fussy not to be on the right frequncy, which some of these convertors don't give (they just step down the voltage). But that should only be the case if its old.

    First thing you need to do is find the information panel. On it should be a voltage rating, i have a feeling that it will show 110V.

    Look on the back panel near to where the cable exits, there may be an input switch to change voltage 110-230. unfortunately i don't think it will have one.

    Contact the manufacturer they may be able to help with a proper conversion.

    The best way to run it will be through a step-down transformer, its probably the easiest and safest way to run it without any worries.

    Some (older) amps won't run enless the frequncy is matched. (ie 50hz we have compaired to the more efficent 60hz used elsewhere).
