Webcam software for winXP

Finally got round to installing windows on my ePC from ebuyer (the £139 one I stuffed loads of ram, HD's etc on) and thought it'd be fun to run a few servers on.

So I've got my all in one entertainment PC almost functional, now all I need is a webcam for absolutely no reason whatsoever. Ideally I'd like to stream video out via a webpage, but I suspect the solution will be slightly more complicated than I care about.

So in the mean time, does anyone know of any software that is free and takes stills and dumps them in a directory?

Link removed, by the way, and given this is a thread revival from 10 years ago, I suspect the person asking the question just might have resolved their need. And grown up, graduated, married and had kids, in the meantime.
