    Messageboard legal issues?

Wondering if you lot can help me with a point I'm trying to prove. Someone doesn't believe me that the people running a messageboard can get into legal trouble if a libellous message has been posted by someone else on there.

Can anybody provide me with any links to news stories on the web about this? I know it has happened, just can't remember the exact details.

It was Demon and it's just a standard negligence issue.

    but tbh chances.
I reckon forums are never big enough to get into trouble (ok ignoring huge places like genmay etc...lol @ that forum...its just hooge but classic for random timewasting browsing...anyway...)
Newsgroups hosted by ISPs are slightly different.
I reckon unless you are talking about tens of thousands of regulars at least then chances are minimal.
