    Panic Buying

I know it was mentioned in the other thread about petrol, but panic buying has taken off again. Its not helping anything really, people are just shooting themselves and stiching themselves up.

Mind you, when we see people buying we buy so it escollates. I filled up just to be safe anyways. Taking the bike to work tomorrow. Probably take as long to cycle as to drive sometimes! He says, come the morning I won't want to!

Just paid 103.9 for BP Ultimate. Sheesh.

I heard that petrol will cost £5 per cup soon, you'll have to carry it from the pumps to your car in your mouth, due to new safety regulations, and it will only be avalible every second Thursday.

So my advice to you is - PANIC! And - FILL UP YOUR CAR, FILL UP ALL YOUR CARS! But most of all, don't forget to - PANIC!

    Its for the best.

    Litre, sieve, they're, I, you.

I have no petrol in my car- but equally no plans to drive anywhere in the near future, so I don't think I'll bother filling up. When I went to buy a pack of cigs from the garage next door at 10pm tonight it was way busier than I've ever seen in on a Monday night- so it seems to me that panic buying is indeed in full effect.

ah, the idea that you smoke after correcting me on my spellings brings a smile to my face. One day i hope to bring the pain and missery to week minded people only a tabaco company could (or maybe a sugar company......).

But ontopic, our local supermarket had a massive queue.

Its times like this i enjoy the fact i don't own a car even more.

I smoke infrequently enough that it's unlikely to reduce my life expectancy. Feel free to try bringing the pain though.

Was ridiculous @ 24hr tesco tonight, I parked up and there were huge queues. Came back a few hours later after going to town for a meal and half the forecourt was coned off cos they'd bled it dry. They're causing their own fuel crisis.

Both our cars currently have nearly full tanks so we're using the bus as much as poss, dad using his skooter and we're only making small journeys before saturday cos i have to get to friggin' uni.

    Petrol protests are teh lame

I was working in Sainsburys petrol station on saturday, and it was SO busy!! It wasn't just there though, the store was busy too. It seems everyone was panic buying everything.

We had 2 pumps empty of unleaded and ASDA which was only a short walk away had completely run out of deisel. I hadn't seen the shop that busy since christmas times, and although I don't go into the pertol station enough to know, that was pretty mad too.

My Dad had to wait an hour or so to fill up, and this was late at night. I wonder if anyone is panic buying Rich Tea? Better not, I like them, don't want a shortage.

It sounds crazy tbh, remeniscient of a few years back with all the protests, back then i was loving it, the possibility of no school appealed to me (lots of teachers couldnt get to work, was great). Different now that I do drive when at home, and i know how expensive fuel is normally, let alone at the moment.

Not seeing any panic buying over here tho, then again the prices are always high in switzerland heh
