You're My Besht Mate You Are. Family! You're Family!

Anyone see the live footage of the English cricket team coming our of their hotel and being interviewed today?

Flintoff was clearly as pissed as a newt, stumbling, eyes all over the place. He'd obviously had a lot to drink and not much sleep.

Pieterson was the same, although not quite as bad. I thought it was great.

Win the Ashes, go on the lash all night, then stumble down to meet the adoring fans and Tony Blair, still 2 parts cut. How English is that? Brings a tear to the eye.

I think I'd need a few beers to meet Tony myself

good on them I say. They taught the Aussies a thing or 2, played out of their skins... and got some nice champers presented to they yesterday.

I know if I'd have been on the team I'd still be staggering about, slurring and fumbling

Apparently He's one of those people it's really hard to be angry with. You may think you're ready to explode at him, but then you just.....can't.

Ah, change 'him' to 'her' and we've all been there, after a night on the pop.

Lets not forgett the real meaning behing England winning a major sporting event, gloating at the auzzies. If you can do that and get drunk even better, or you could point out to them that no one bothers to import there mediocore beer to the UK, and some hairy blokes somwhere make it.

Freddie was still there at 8am. Hoggard passed out on his hotel room floor apparantly. The two teams were drinking in each others dressing rooms till 10pm.

Having been at the oval yesterday I'm sure that most folk there were a bit worse for wear this morning but I thought it was great seeing the big man still going for it at 11am and then having to meet the PM. I could never imaging Wayne Rooney beings so placid after an all nighter!

That means I can drive a flock of sheep through the town centre, drink for free in no less than 64 pubs and get a lift home with the police when I become inebriated.
