    Somthing really quite good

    http://www.engadget.com/entry/1234000430055334/

    Great old BBS article

One day in the future we’ll all work at 200MHz tower desktops with 9600 baud modems, but until then we’ll just have to keep dreaming. So while we’re just making crap up, how’s about the Flatpanel Computer mockup, by crackpot “unconventional” designer Jim Leftwich. One little doozy of a pipe dream the computer actually has a flat screen. Whatever, Jim, it’ll happen one day, we so believe you.
To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.

We had (and still have, but don't use) one of those from our old mac.

Nice blast from the past - 1 year before my birth .

EDIT - I'm sure pyle will be glad to know his favourite lady is appearing in an ad there too. There's no getting away .

i dunno ive seen people on this board creaming over some kind of setup which to us seems like its 20-30 years in the future... when they look back with systems 10x better than what we are pining over now in 10 years time, and read the posts about it, they will laugh at us. and perhaps say our posts have been made up.

It's obviously a 'in the style of' type thing..

"This baby totally owns" re amiga 1000? totally owns? in 1985? I very much doubt it..

yeah stoo must be right there i think, the language used all the way through the 'posts' is far too modern

Still it was a fun way to kill a few mins reading it
