i tried opera and never tried it again, currently on firefox. Also why the change, paying to non-paying. was it because they were loosing a market share

Certainly FF has gained a huge amount of publicity tho, and not all of it perhaps justified, as the press went mental about it.
Did you try Opera 8.x or an 7.x series? Big differences!
i tried both and i really don't like either of them as it just seems that things such as the options menu and extra crap like that isn't just where i want it to be. I suppose personal preference is largely a factor in liking somethingOriginally Posted by dangel

I still think one of the major things which is holding Opera back from mass acceptance like the dreaded Firefox, is its name
Although as pointed out, it is a very complete browser (nearly passes Acid2 etc). However, it is also quite a slow browser, but as long as you keep it running and just open new sites as and when you want, its ok. However, I'm using Internet Explorer 7 Beta 1, and have grown rather fond of it![]()
New Sig on the Way...
to be EXTRA honest, IE will load faster than Opera and FF, as IE is part of explorer, which is always running in Windows. (Of course this doesn't apply if you have a ton of crap adware addons with IE)Originally Posted by dangel

I've been using opera for a while now, alot faster than FF, but a bit slow to load. So FF is my default browser. As for IE, the only shortcut to its via the windows update icon.
