Hey guys jsut an update. I got a new pump. Its a Rena 100. Cost me £27.50 which is a rip off considering what i can get it for on the net but i needed to get it asap

Ive also got some live plants coming today/tomorrow.

Is there anyway to clean them before i put them in? Just to make sure that there is nothin on them.

the only thing on them will be snails, but there alright, they clean up for a while then get eaten.

Tiger Loaches do quite a good job at getting rid of snails.

I've only really had two or three snails hitching rides on new plants, but they don't last long once they're in the tank.

Ok my plants are in but i would like some nice ones. maybe a few floating plants and some more colourful ones inside the tank. Does anyone know of a good place to look for them?

I'm no good at knowing what plants to put in, mainly because I can never remember their names! Too long and complicated. I think a good book on plants is needed.

What are your local fish shops like? The guy who runs the one by me is really helpful. I just need to tell him what I want, and he'll recommend me some plants. So far so good.

Actually, I'm also after some floating plants. I have a Siamese Fighter in another tank, with fake plants, which I would like to put in my main tank, but haven't got enough plants high enough.

O yea and i think we should have a thread where people show pictures of their aquarium. Would be nice to see how other peoples look.

Tbh i want a siamese fighter but his colourful fins attracts too much attention and he tends to get annialated. But im hoping that plants etc will give the fish somewhere to hide. Floating ones grow there roots down and so provide some cover for angelfish etc. Its just finding some thats the problem

Ah the rebirth of a tank is painful I remember i had only danios when i first set up mine Worth it in the long run though! Try putting some live palnts in as that will speed the birth of the new aquarium up.

I remember setting my tank up in the beginning, quite a slow and expensive process! Every other week I'd end up in Jackswood aquatics spending money, but the end result is worth it. Although saying that, it does end up being quite an on going thing. oops.

Hey guys jsut a question. What is the best air pumps? I currently have a rena 200 but i dont find it powerful enough. Which ones would you guys reccommend?
