id pay money to stand underneath that.
saw it at windermere airshow 3 years back maybe. they do this turn where they pull up and into 45 degrees sharply and power through it. it makes the whole airframe resonate, its almost a scream. epic. im such a sad plane geek.

Saw the Vulcan last year at South East airshow (Manston airport) and this year at Shoreham airshow. The sound of it is unreal, at Shoreham the Eurofighter wasn't long afterwards and the sound paled in comparison. There are no more working spare engines, so anyone who wants to see the Vulcan - hurry up! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avro_Vulcan_XH558#2013
I remember seeing one at Woodford 20-odd years ago. Still remember how close it was and the trouser-filling thunder that came with it. Amazing.
Love the way the chap says 'he did that on purpose' when it appears the descent rate is a mite high, and he's actually at considerable risk. Note the continuing descent of the craft well after the application of throttle.
To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.
