guys and gals this is getting off topic (alterion, there is a reason we seem defensive, but I cannot go into the details, just trust me that it was not without aggrivation from parties outside of the HEXUS staff)

This is about the new site, not about the running costs (btw, you are massively under estimating the size of HEXUS and the resources required is all I will say on that issue)

Now lets get back on topic please!

After all we are what we are and HEXUS is what it is.....The UK's indisputed #1 and growing quicker than you could envisage

    Matt.
Please do not message me about Scan Free shipping, I no longer work for HEXUS.net

.. i was referring to what i expected the running costs of the forums would be.. i appreciate a massive site like hexus would cost a lot more.. but yes we are getting off topic and souring what has broadly been a very good change with many improvments across the board...(the hexus.newsletter being a personal favorite). BTW is there a reason trust shows up as trus.hexus.net on the forums tab but just as trust on the main site.. it seems a bit wiered as all the otheres (e.g gaming and lifestyle) look the same? A final note to say that i am now getting used to the .gaming logo a bit more and can see your point on this one with regards to branding ect.. thoughh i wuold appeal to you to at least change the colour scheme on the dvdoctor lgo.. red and green on purpleis not nice IMHO
    AMD3000+ ATIX800XL + GBNF44x mobo.. all at stock because they're good enough atm + CA A1 amp-->Mission 73S Loigtech MX1000 + 1GB ram + 1/3 TB HD array
Wintendo XP + Linux (when it works) .. just incase you were wondering

Lets keep this on focus guys.

The site menu swill be updated with the trust.HEXUS.net

We have to brand these things - we are trying to move to focus on the different channels.

    Thanks

Cool - I'd not played with anything since launch (thought I'd be nice for a while and try not to break the toys)

all working nicely; much smoother and faster.

search is well built and provides appropriate responses - and damn fast too!

    overall, 5 heXus stars

It must be on an item that doesn't have many links to other related articles, as we're adding more content that styling issue will vanish. However I'll look into modifying the CSS to try and prevent it. Can you send me the URL for the item you were looking at at the time please

    Hi,

Listen, sorry if this has been pointed out before, I just noticed it quickly whilst looking this morning and thought I should mention it. I don't have time before work though to go through this thread and see if it has been...

This is happening a lot for me. Looks a little silly. Also, sometimes, pages take an age to load up, and I notice in the status bar it's loading adverts from the likes of doubleclick and fluent.ltd etc. I guess there's no way to speed them up, but you might want to mention it to them?

As I said, sorry if it's already been mentioned before.

    Allen,

Thanks for the screenshot, this has only been happening thiis morning [trust me - I am on it]

If you are using Firefox and you are having it not drop connections to hexusads.fluent.ltd.uk - its due to jscript I believe.

IT shouldn't make HEXUS any slower - if it does, I am sorry.

can you tell me what ISP your on?

Am using IE at work and it seems fine, so maybe it's just FF? I can't check FF at work though.
