He didn't get it from outline, its from the number of steps on the ladder... that narrows it down to either an F-22 or a F-117... but as we all know, the F-117 only has three slats on its step due to the fibial bracket mounting rung on the fuselage side... so it has to be an F-22.. simple as, really.Originally Posted by Zak33

Seriously though, just by a masking of an outline on the floor you guys can tell what plane it is/was ?
Thats quiet impressive really.
Can you do the same with cars? If so I'll nip to asda's carpark later and photograph the tarmac there

Heh, good thread, another one of the "thats an F22's outline" people here. Don't know why anyone who's played a modern flight sim woudln' know what that outline was from.
Yep, we be geeks alright!'Geek' - Korean long range, single seat interceptor, introduced in 1969 and still in service in late 80's. Modelled on the F-104 Starfighter but with deeper wing chord giving better performance and manouverability at mid to low altitude. Armed with 4 Russian 'Prechovk' heat seeking missiles and two 'Vilmar' air-toair radar guided missiles. The Geek was the first Korean interceptor assembled on North Korean soil with previous airframes either being imported Chinese copies of Russian designs or imported from Russia. Also was the first Korean aircraft with 'stand off' capability, retro fitted in the early '80's for defence against US AWACS aircraft over the 39th parallel.
Hehe, that pics great.
TBH it's a pretty distinctive shape, I also knew it without even thinking.Originally Posted by Zak33
