Is it me, or is 30kb really stingy?
    - I mean, its not even like hexus host the image!
    - Also, i agree with the height limit. (i would have 600wide tho)

    Not stingy, nice.

You obviously don't use dial up, where anything over 10Kb is noticeable, and its damn stupid to have people using annoying fat sigs that most of the time mean nothing to anyone but the poster, and the poor sods on dial-up. 30KB is fine, it should be enough for anyone, and it isn't stupidly big.

if you use dialup you should be smart enough to disable sigs in the user cp

haha true, some girl called emlo at the top of the page with 6 pics all linked to diferent things (hey elmo **waves ** )

actually i like emlo's sig and its well in the height limit so no problem. Although was slightly slow to load even on 1mb

Edit: Elmo looks like your sig breaks the width rule of 400px, when i looked at urs its split into 2 coloums and 3 rows, the height is fine 20px for each pic and theres 3 pics on top of each other so thats 60px but width wise its 300px per picture with a total width of 600px

True, but anything over about 30 is just bloat anyway. Text sigs are fine, and sometimes usefull/funny. But people seem to feel they have to have a sig, even when they have no reason to have one. Its like everyone having a blog, even though most of the people who make them are boring, uninterestring, and are wasting bandwidth by having it.

I only got broadband in the last 6/7 months, I liked small sig sizes then, and still do.

On some boards I visit, the sigs of some people are far larger than any post they make.

System specs by the side is nice, but a bit awkward if you're running more than one pc , so I guess some people will still need to try and cram as much info into their sigs as they can (someone pass the magnifying glass please )

well it depends on your spacing and font size really.
5 (shortish ) lines should be more than enough.

the picture width is 400px which is the limit but the height is 100px which is 20px over the new limit and with the text makes it even higher

i think u'll find the links in my sig are for a) the HEXUS gallery, b) the HEXUS gallery email address, c) 2 of my own websites d) my msn address should anyone wish to contact me via it, and e) another website i frequent that my bf's mate runs, to fill up the extra space. I dont see why any of these arent useful (other than the last one). It's also pretty slimline.
