I'm willing to bet that the extra Channel 4 and ITV channels are doing far better than BBC3/4 and the Beeb are scaring themselves into rushing out a few new channels. I've had freeview for about 3 weeks now and can honestly say that I haven't watched any of the extra BBC channels for more than a few minutes. There's just hardly anything of interest on!

The BBC should just encrypt the channels so if you want em you pay if you don't well no loss. maybe they're worried nobody would pay I for one would'nt & I resent the fact I have to pay for something I don't want, & while I'm moaning I don't like paying sky a small fortune when every time something half decent comes on you get so many bloody adverts that you forget what the programme was about they put a 1hr programme on but take away the adverts you're left with a 15min prog with 45 mins of adverts at least when ITV pushed adverts down you're throat they didn't charge you for it.

Thats better back to smiling winge over

i don't think i get £10 a month worth of BBC services as it is, radio 4 i'll listen too, but only when i've negleted to bring my walkman, BBC 1,2,3,4 don't even have 1 DVD a month worth of good programs on them. For shame.

I can see I shall very soon be getting rid of the TVs in our house and just watching DVDs on the PC

I'm sure I remember reading somewhere about the BBC or govt wanting to change the licence fee from TVs to TVs and PCs.

Maybe it's time to move countries......

I still think it's unfair that you have to pay the BBC - when I only watch one program on it anyway.. (all the other channels I watch are commercial) and they took about 20 years to bring that back!

    (My own opinion of course!)
