Skype 1.4

Just had an email drop into my inbox (suprising that it should drop into there really...) announcing skype 1.4

Call me sceptical, but is it worth upgrading straight away considering ebay have bought out skype? I have absolutely no idea what ebays evil hordes have done to it...

cant imagine they have done much if any thing to it! but ive gone off skype since it was sold
but really tbh ebay own skype and i expect they let it get on as it would of any way

Two changes seem to have been made - call forwarding (that's really handy - I wondered if it was possible to forward to a landline, hopefully this'll solve my dodgy upstairs wireless connection!

So they havnt done anything to it, but you dont like it now its owned by Ebay?

Just because someone owns something it doesnt make it bad, its when they start making changes and charging shedloads you should be defering

im leaving it for now, gone off it since ebay bought it out. Its just a matter of time before the advertisements for ebay & paypal to come rolling in. :/

I don't see why you should be so skeptical. It's the same as it alwase was, if not on the brink of slightly bloated with new features. I think for easy of use Google Talk's a bit better with Skype alwase been resource hungry.

Now the competitors are spriging up offering cheaper than Skype phone calls, to landlines there time might be up, but thats not ebays fault.
