Cat hunt - missing in action

My cats gone missing. If you're in the hockley essex area and have seen a loud mouthed siamese cat wandering aimlessly looking lost, let me know! (it's worth a try)

Quite a few cats gone missing recently, got three adverts sitting on my desk atm and they're all purebreeds. I'm starting to think cat burglars of the nasty kind.

my brother lives in enfield, north london. One of their purebreed cats was stolen and rechipped.

And sold to a house down the road.

They have the cat back now but apparently its big business.

it's a he - we're hoping not. Plenty have gone missing, but we're sure the big dogs have had them down the road. He's far more intelligent, pure muscle but unfortunately thinks he's a human so is very friendly to other people.

Also has a habit of jumping into (parked cars) and going for rides. You wouldn't even know he was in the car as he hides under seats or parcel shelf. Amount of times he's jumped into the tesco van...

wah! cheeky gits!!! i'd find who sold it to the guys down the road and hunt them down...saddly I don't think the police really give much time to this sort of thing, though it is disgusting

I'd try to give it a little while before you worry too much - I've had a cat turn up a couple of hundred miles away (having climbed into a car), one disappear for about 6 weeks, before turning up just a little dirty (and looking at us as if we had a cheek ariving home in the small hours of the morning). Seems to be more dogs that get taken for their pedigree value mostly, although I'm sure it's not only dogs.

I feel for you boss, if it's an indoor cat the chances are it's hiding under a bush close to home being scared, if it's an outdoor cat then it will be back soon for it's tea I suspect.

Don't worry too much I friend of mine lost his male bengal for 8 months, the thing just wandered in one evening as if nothing had hapened and shouted for his dinner. But then the thing stands nearly a foot tall at the shoulders

I assume it was chipped? If so you should get it back I think.

    blimey a fellow hockley'er! (http://www.hockley-community.net plug plug)

    anyway!

    THE CAT IS BACK!

Went out looking for my first proper time today - my parents have been walking the streets, putting up posters, door 2 door etc. I've done my fair share of looking and shouting, but gave it a good whelly today, and after my first shout heard a 'waaaah' in the distance. a bit more shouting and screaming and nothing. Dinner was ready so I went back in planning where I should go to track him properly.

As I tucked in mum screamed 'he's back!'

He's not in good condition - bit skinnier, big appetite but very ill looking. Lots of nasty flem etc might not be out of the woods - he's vacinated against cat flu, but we're booking him into the vets tomorrow! Looks like he was trapped somewhere or had found a cosy hole to hide. We're all the happier now anyway! Thanks for the support guys (n' girls)
