Trick or Treating, wtf is the point?

OK, I'm old(ish) & when I was a kid we'd only seen trick or treating on TV via american TV. What I fail to see tho is the whole dressing up thing. Scary costumes & sharing the sh1t out of each other yes, dressing up as superman & barbie princesses pestering the neighbourhood oldies for sweetes, i don't get. What relevance is that to all hallows eve?

its nothing to do with the pagen ritual, its just an excuse to dress up and get sweets.

Hell the party i went to last night, well i got there about 11:45, didn't get started till about 1, but it had a bouncy carstle. A large one too, what does that actually have to do with halloween? Nothing, but it was cool.

Get yourself a big GSD puppy who freaks out at the sight of little ghouls knocking at your door, they won't hang about believe me they'll be screaming, right back down your garden path

That's my trick for Halloween anyway

Candy is the point. Alot of people won't give you candy if you are not dressed up as something.

Also, when you go around egging houses/car, and throwing toilet paper in trees, or commiting more serious crime, costume serve as a disguise.

But what has that got to do with the traditions of All Hallows Eve?

Halloween isnt what it used to be, in my day its was a black bin liner and a cheap 50p plastic
    mask from the local shop.

All this spending money on proper cotumes and making an effort... its not british i tell thee.

I once knew this little sod who used to cause a lot of problems in the area I lived. So, when he came to my door asking for chocolate "NOW!" as he put it, I went and put some strong pepper on a fruit and nut bar

MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN! you're all a bunch of fuddy duddies!

It's an excuse to have fun and get absolutely P****D! Lighten up!

Halloween is so much fun! Went out last night dressed as a kinky kitten (unfortunately EVERYONE forgot their cameras! - shame!) and other than the erm...situation that arose... It was great fun mucho dancing and mucho drinking and plenty of giggling at funny/crap/amazing costumes! There was one person dressed up as a famous glasgow figure.... the gouranga lady of buchanan st It was HILARIOUS!

Who cares about trick or treating. I want to talk about the only day of the year that we get to see hot french maids, flight attendants, police girls, etc.

PS: Can anyone tell me why three hot girls always go to the bathroom together (and how I can get in on that)?
