Well now there is a hexus member living in Vancouver, me. My wife and i landed here on Thursday and its been great up to now, people are really friendly here. The best news is the ski slopes are already open which is ace. All we need to do now is find a bigger place to live.

if you get the chance pop over to victoria on van island, beautiful big "little" city. i go over evry cpl years to visit relatives and its a really nice place,whole of the island is actually.

To visit another country and see the "touristy" parts is one thing, but when you live in another culture it can be a real eye-opener and makes you question things you have taken for granted as "the norm" for so many years.

Never been to Canada, but heard Vancouver is nice. Vancouver Island is supposed to be good too, we have a supplier in Nanaimo, been trying to get work to send me accross there for "training" but it's not happening so far
Congrats on the move mate. The wife thinks that Canada would be a nice place to live, but I am not ready to leave these shores yet! Are you going to get a snowmobile? That would be one of the plusses for me!

I've heard it's a nice city. It has a pretty nice Chinese population. They film Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis there. I need to visit Vancouver some day.

Immigration sounds like a fantastic plan to me...just got back from two weeks on holiday, and it's cold and raining. Screw this for a box of apples...I want out. Anyone know any good sites for getting jobs over in the USA? California sounds like an excellent place to start...
