I bought a PSP a couple of weeks ago, they are cool, the movies arent great, better for playing games than anything. Plus as posted on Hexus last week Lemmings is coming out for them in Jan, so what more reason do you need to get one than that ?!?

We bought one for our youngest's 10th birthday last month, and i was very impressed with it's gaming abilities, the graphx are stunning, i agree the movies arent that good, they are watchable though and what can you expect from such a small screen?

I think people like to downgrade the firmware so they can play game emulators and somesuch, but i don't think you'd be able to play the newer PSP games if you did probably better off leaving it be

It also has wireless internet access built in which i think is cool, havent got Luke's connected yet but will do sometime

Just bought Liberty City for Luke, it's keeping him quiet, he had medieval Ressurection with his and finished it soon after

If you do get one don't forget to go to yourpsp.com to claim your free copy of spiderman 2 on UMD

heard today that Sony has released a media manager. might actually be old news since was on a podcast but didn't check the date.

enables far easier transfer of content to / from the PSP

Look at the for sale forum, and the sheer number of PSPs been on sale there in the past few weeks should tell you something...save your money, invest it in your PC instead Consoles are pointless when you have a PC

Well its not meant to compete with an under the tv console. Sony want you to buy one in addition to the ps2 you already own. They want to bleed you dry for both like any self respecting company, accessories darling!

I would heartily recommend a PSP. Great little thing and will be compatible with ps2 and ps3!

Especially since if you use the wrong firmware downgrade, you can turn it into a useless brick. Actually, I think the trojan that actually did that is called PSP-Brick or something to that effect, although naturally it wouldn't be called that when you downloaded it.
