    Serious Spin Doctering Shinanegans

I need to point out I'm neither an ATI or NVIDIA fanboy. However, it's blatantly clear that NVIDIA are ahead in the gfx performance stakes. Obviously these guys haven't been told that.

I'm feeling a little dizzy after reading this...

1 The Radeon X1800 XT is the fastest graphics processor (GPU) on the planet as demonstrated by its performance running benchmarks such as 3DMark05 (9013 3DMarks at shipping clock speeds) as well as its engine clock speed (625MHz), the highest engine clock speed on any available GPU.
    are the bolded bits true?

I thought that the x1800 had been clocked at 700? no?

"The Radeon X1800 XT has 512MB of GDDR3 and has default clock frequencies of 625MHz for the GPU and 1.5GHz for the memory. " -Hard|OCP

"NVIDIA has set the reference GPU clock speed at 550MHz...a reference memory clock of 1.7GHz!" -Hard|OCP

So, at least that part of the bolded text is true. I haven't really looked at 3dmark benchmarks. I've only paid attention to gaming benchmarks.

MY favourite bit is where they claim that the produce was shipped 3rd November, AHEAD OF SCHEDULE...

I understand that ATI have just autherised manufacturers to overclock the gpu to 700MHz (although they won't honour the warranty if they do-more spin) because the new 7800 512 beats the crap out of the 1800XT. It still does when clocked at 700MHz, but by a teeny bit less
