    Anime

Is there anyone on these forums who enjoy anime, if you do which series did you really enjoy? I've seen a few series but its hard to find out what series to watch next because I only seem to find out about new stuff by word of mouth.

    Stuff I have watched:
    Hellsing
    Full Metal Panic
    Full Metal Alchemist
    Naruto
    Witch Hunter Robin
Inuyasha (A little but not all)

    Going to watch next:
    Bleach
    Samurai Champloo

I've watched similar things to that list and would consider:
    Cowboy Bebop
    Neon Genesis Evangelion
    Athlon 64 3800+, 6800GT, 2GB GSkill RAM, 120GB + 320GB HDDs, Logitech Z-680 5.1 etc

I'd suggest Last Exile. Very good series, that. Also Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex season 1, as 0iD mentions.

Samurai Champloo and Bleach are great, the latter being extremely popular at the moment. Take note of the 2 or so filler eps in Samurai Champloo (Eps 20 and 21, I think they were); that's how filler eps should be done. Absolutely no storyline advancement, but great to watch anyway. Bleach, on the other hand, has spawned 3 or so absolutely boring filler eps so far, similar to what they did with Naruto before going on to create entire storyline arcs that aren't in the manga. Hopefully, the same doesn't happen to Bleach.

I love Naruto but the latest pointless filler arcs are getting quite annoying. I think they are doing about another 17+ fillers until then end of the series until they do the 2 year jump and get on with the manga story again.

I've heard good things about Bleach, especially since Naruto has gone down hill so I'm going to start watching that soon.

What about feature length/ movies? I've seen the following:
    Spritied Away (really enjoyed)
    Howl's Moving Castle (great)
Princess Mononoke (a bit of a Hollywood touch but still good)
    Ghost in a Shell (classic)
Akira (the daddy of the oldies)
Ninja Scrolls (one of my favourites)
Vampire Hunter D (this is a great movies, probably my personal favourite)
Shadow Skills (very basic when compared to others but is really enjoyable)
    X-the Movie (nothing special)
    Appleseed (was okay)
Street Fighter (I liked them but I am a fan of the old classic game)

Trying to track down Kiki's Delivery Service because I've heard some real good things about it but its hard to find. Anyone else seen this, is it worth the effort?

Bleach is good but not the best in my opinion as FMA, FMP, GTO and Cowboy Bebop are probably among better shows mentioned so far.

I'd definitely recommend watching Samurai Champloo if your're a Cowboy Bebop fan, although it's not as good but it was directed by the same guy.

I share the concerns about Bleach since it might succumb to the same fate of filler arcs as Naruto, since the anime is around chapter 180-190+ of the manga and the latest is around 200.

Preferably I'd like it to take a seasonal break like other shows do to put some distance between themselves and the manga.

Professor Frink check out www.animenfo.com, it has a comprehensive list of old and upcoming anime, summaries and reviews.

Ranma is probably a must watch since its a highly acclaimed show but I've only read some of the manga though.

google found me a better description than I cuold write

Saotome Ranma, a teenage martial artist, and his father Genma travel to the 'cursed training ground' of Jusenkyo in China. There, despite the warnings of the Chinese guard, they fall into the cursed springs. From now on, whenever Ranma is doused in cold water, he turns in to a girl, and a cute, well-built red-head at that. Hot water changes him back into a man again, but only until the next time. To make matters worse, his father engages him to Tendo Akane, a girl who hates boys.
his father changes into a panda too which is hilarious All good clean(ish, as much as you can get from anime) fun

Not a series, but "Howl's moving castle". Also, "Metropolis". They're awesome and are the only anime movies I've seen and loved every bit of them.

Yeah, saw Howl's Moving Castle at the cinema and really enjoyed it. I would recommend Spritied Away if you like Howl.
