Opinions on best Digital Camera £150 ish

As the title says, what do people reckon is the best Digital Camera for approx £150??
I like the look of the Canon Ixus 40 (£173).

What is important is (in no order):
Size and Weight (lower the better)
    Battery Life
Ease of use (for my step-mum).

I figure that picture quality on any machine with minimum 4 megapixels and a decent brand will be satisfactory (tell me if i am wrong). Also will be buying a minimum 256MB memory card to go with it.

    Cheers in advance

I saw a 5MP camera in Maplin the other day, it was only £80 and really thin. It was a shop only offer though I think.

I really like the Fuji Finepix 450, for it's size you get a really good zoom, 5mpix and they're easy to use.

They're also under £150 now, but hard to find because I think they've stopped making them.

I quite like this one for £150 as it has 6x zoom and isnt as big as other cameras with higher
    than 3x zoom.

Oooh that actually looks quite good for the price! A lot of >3x zoom compacts take awful pictures because the zoom-lens restricts the light coming in, but that appears to have a larger lens to compensate. Nice!

I have held and played with the thing I chose the Fujifilm F10 over it but thats another £50
The lense IS big for its size and its body is about the same size or a little bigger than the F10
i think. Another bonus in my opinion is that it takes AA batts although some might not like
that, but using with 2500 mA nimh they can take a lot of pictures. You can get a sanyo
fast charger with 4 2500 mA batts for 20 of those english pounds i would have thought
