I was wondering if anyone was on CB radio in the 80's or 90's? If so, what was your handle?
Mine was 'Funkmaster'

Yeap - mine was Wildmonkey and my mother who used it all the time was Calamity Jane.
Ahhh good old CB radio... wonder if that Amtron 99 antenna is still in the loft as this gave some serious distance under the right conditions ( solar winds, clouds etc)
Mine ended up in lots of little pieces... for some reason it never worked well after it came into rapid contact with the wall.
10-4 on that, good buddy!!!
I've still got several 'rigs' gathering dust and rust in a cupboard. I've also got my old SWR meter, various mics and my 100W 'burners'.
I've still got mine - my handle (suprisingly enough) was Mako....
I will never forget visits to the local McDonalds drive through with the arial scraping on the roof!
'Speak softly and carry a big stick'
Still have a couple of rigs, my parents were heavilly involved n the local club. Was quiet a good grin, although the order from the councill to take the thunderpole mounted on a scaffold pole from the chimney was unfortunate (being a mid terrace council house). Other delights included a selection of burners and pramps, running rather ilegal US multimodes. Its suprising what a big thing it was at one point, national weather had skip reports if its was running high, talked to the USA a couple of times, along with spain and a few other places. We also had another aerial (siggy 4?) on a hudge mount, couldnt leave it up all the time so was on a rotating clip so you pulled a rope and up it went.
We had an HAM International installed under our stairs, with a Hgh Gain Silver Rod Aerial stuck on a scaffolding pole in our Garden, we had burners and god knows what else, we also had a Multimode in the car which we used to take up into the hills, living on the Welsh Border there's loads of places to choose from, we used to go up to the Annual Cb'ers meeting on Llangollens Horshoe pass each year too
My handle was Trickster ( given to me by my Bro )
Elder Bro was Operator, other Bro was Muzzey or Hairy Banana ( we still call him Muzz )
and our Dad was Blue
The things you kids used to get up to. Does this stuff still go on?
I didn't have much in the way of kit , just an Old-ish Amstrad rig but it had lots of fairy lights
my handle was "michellin Man"
