Without looking, I think this has been posted before somewhere.

I seem to already have an account, and it's a member of the HEXUS guild .

I'll play tomorrow. Name a time and I'll be there.

    ***********************
    EDIT:

LOL!!! Looks like I'm the only member of the guild - feel free to join me . Perhaps I made the thread and forgot about it - can't find it though.

THATS caroms you sit opposite each other, and flick a red wooden hollow disk (a carom) at a load of black or white wooden hollow disks, and try to put your colour caroms in the pockets before t'other person.

    Cracking game....but not pool!

Wow, you wont believe this. I was round at someone's house the other night and they had this. I could not remember the name (was very very drunk) and it has been really bugging me the last few days. Cheers for this, i'm of to find somewhere to buy it.

Having said that, im not sure ho much fun it would be sobber. Anyone here play it (in real life)?

Hmm, I think I might pass for tonight actually, seeing as I have a couple of exams tomorrow... typical, as soon as something fun happens, I can't take part!

Yep, I have had a board for many years now - this is a great game. If you get one, make sure that you buy a good supply of an inert very fine powder. It helps the pieces slide across the surface of the board. I've used in the past potato starch or boric acid (alough this tends to clump together unless your room is very dry). The best I have found is called Carrom Powder (could you have guessed!) - buggered if I know what it is but it's pink and the one of the finest powders I have seen.

Bought mine from a games shop on the Cowley Road in Oxford. The board is made by these people: http://www.carrom.co.uk/
