    Cheap Valentines?

Okay, I'm all out of original ideas for inexpensive ways to let my other half know how I feel about her on Valentines Day (and please don't anyone go off on a 'you need the commercial sector to tell you when you need to let your partner know you love them?' rant...yes I do thanks)

I'm pretty sure something will occur to me closer the date, but in my long standing (and very miserly) stand against the 'buy the love' commercialisation of valentines day, I always try to do something individual (by 'individual' read 'cheap').

I need some help though.....anyone have any special things that have worked in the past for them?

Here's some I've done which worked particularly well in the past

Getting hold of loads of cheap roses and pulling the petals off, using them from anything like writing 'I love you' on the wall in two foot high letters, to running a rose petal bath, scattering them all over the floor etc.

    music compilation cds

    Writing (bad) poetry

Creating photo albums/ collages of our time together

Breakfast in bed, massages, pampering and various other forms of adoration and attention

printing out 'i love you' like a thousand times and scattering it around the house

Buying (okay, so I caved, but not much) lots of tiny little gifts and leaving them all over the place.

I've done others, but can't remember them right now....anyone else got any?

    Pink champers works every time

Your last rolo, loveheart sweeties, pancakes made in a heart-shaped pan, or, if you have to be practical with your penny spending, Sainsbury are selling £1.37 tubs of Flora with a Le Creuset heart shaped ramekin thrown in. Make a yummy dessert (or just an angel delight!) in the ramekin, and have weeks worth of spread for your toast, and a plastic pot to re-use!
