Firefox keeps closing...

has anyone had any problems with the new release of firefox closing?? i was browsing away last nite and when i hit "refresh", firefox just completely closed. i loaded it back up and was working fine for about an hour, then the same thing happened.

Anyone know of any problems with this??

It's been happening to me sometimes when I go on certain sites too, don't have a clue why... that's why I installed sessionsaver.

I get the exact same problem, seems to happen with Hexus.net quite a bit, possibly some script somewhere isn't behaving?

yeh its driving me mad its still doing it... this is the first real problem ive had with Firefox - there also seems to be a memory leak (as already mentioned on a hexus thread) which again is putting me off firefox now

Have you tried reinstalling firefox? I have had this problem a few times and I followed this guide:

How to really do a clean upgrade

Has worked for me in the past, however if all else fails, why not try Opera? The only reason I don't use it is because I am used to the ui of Firefox.

I find Firefox crashes every so often on the Hexus forums. My solution? Use Seamonkey. For some reason, despite it also using Gecko, it never seems to crash. Because of that, I have a feeling it might be Flash causing the problem, but I honestly have no idea.
