    dunno about motor program, but Layla was used for the adverts of the Mk3 Astra.

    Long version? AFAIK there's only one version unless you count live recordings. It's on the album 'Rumours', which should be in anyone's album collection- we have it on CD and at least one copy on LP too. If you don't have it buy it now.

    No, the Top Gear theme is Jessica by the Allman Brothers - the reason it sounds like Layla is that Duane Allman wrote the Layla riff for Eric Clapton.
