Apparently nobody on the plane out there could believe that it was the actual man himself, and so didn't get excited, but mum was gutted that she didn't get his autograph. But, on the way back, it was him in the cockpit again! She was bricking it thinking that if she went up and asked him for an autograph he'd be like "so what's your favourite Maiden track?" (she totally forgot the standard "the autograph is for my son" excuse ) but as it turned out he was cool and happily signed one for her.

Might have to fly to Egypt myself now, that would totally make my holiday.
