    A Charge for MSN?

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/1189119.stm

I guess this means a charge for users MSN email services etc rather than charging for using somthing line MSN messenger.
Doesnt really effect me atall as i use a gmail for msn messenger, but i am unclear as to weather or not they will be charging for use of that aswell.

Looks like it's going to be an additional service, rather than replacing something free.

You'll find out more news over at www.mess.be, and if you dare visit the forums http://forum.mess.be (Warning: Lots of retards).

Look at the date of the article: Sunday, 25 February, 2001, 11:00

This was talking about the charges that are now in place, for account with larger storage, and other added benefits, the simple accounts that we all use will always be free

The site receives 200 million visits a month worldwide, and is the UK's most viewed website.
Nothing to do with it being the default homepage for IE, that the majority of people use because they dont know better, im sure

If one more person says about this "charge" or sends me one of those chain mails about it, I swear I will jump out of my window.

Its not surely because people like dixons group set their own home pages? As do many ISPs who provide CDs which everyone needs to configure a PPP connection!

Surely it must be google by now? Even in 2001 i'd of thought it would be, well mabye yahoo or av.com but surely not msn!

Microsoft is reportedly planning to start charging surfers for the improved services of its MSN internet portal.
Let me guess someone at the BBC got a copy of that bloody junk email saying that Microsft were goig to charge for MSN unless you send the email to all your friends, family, pets, etc etc...

It looks like the email must be doing the rounds again, so expect numptie's asking for an "online petition" to be signed to fight this.

I had a few texts on Saturday at stupid'o'clock asking if this was true. I replied to each one with the same phrase... " oh yeaaaaaah and do you believe that the moon is made of cheese as well ? "
