Franz ferdinand have played leeds/reading a few times before but only appeared during the middle of the day, and I don't think they're any popular now then they were a couple of years ago. Arctic Monkeys are strongly rumoured and I think they're much more likely to headline than franz ferdinand, even though they only played in a small tent last year, this is also what happened with the darkness in their year of fame. The strokes are rumoured, who made great headliners a few years ago. If you're into metal though, the download festival looks great this year with Guns n Roses, Metalicca and Tool headlining, my girlfriends into metal and she says she's taking me (mainly for a lot of the other bands though which I have never heard of).Quote:

i'll be curious to see the lineup, but i think it is purely speculation at the moment..
Cream possibly, they got back together this year and were amazing apparently, not by bag, but there big enough to be able to headline
Same with U2, they could easily headline, but I couldnt see them playing Reading myself, plus Bono is a ****
The Cream gig was a one off I think, as was Pink Floyd iirc, however if floyd end up playing anywhere I will commit unspeakable acts to get a ticket.
I sharnt ask what these unspeakable acts may be, but I may also have to commit them, repeatedly.
im not sure the headliners can match V festival this year, it really will be that much better than the CW im sure
ah well....
Pearl Jam
Franz Ferdinand
Muse
It could've been much better, tbh I'm a bit disapointed :(
The rest of the lineup's on at 7:15, hopefully we can get some better bands (or some better headliners for the tents)
So much for the special band they were so tight lipped about, they have been the 3 rumoured headliners for the last 3 months...
I wont be going, unless I can get in for free / ridiculous price
thats a real disappointment tbh, but ill tune in to find the rest of the bands
Well better hope the rest of the line up is monster cause Ill not be going on that basis, maybe a Sat Ticket:undecided :undecidedQuote:
