    Reading Festival

Tickets go on sale tommorow, then!
    I'll be going, but can anyone advise me;

    • Cheapest place for tickets
    • Best way of getting them (phone/web)
    • Earliest they are available
    • When will they sell out?

I know they are on sale tommorow, but I'm going away for a few days, from 8AM, so can I get them at 7 in the morning, or even midnight tonight?
Is it OK to order them by phone, I could do that from where I am tommorow?

    Thanks!

    Anyone else going?

    1. All the same price everywhere

    2. I prefer web but try both if you like

    3. not sure as I havn't actually checked the reading site but iits usually around 9am ticket sales start for everything else.

    4. Depends on the line up, could be within a day or a couple of weeks/months if reading are getting the bands its rumored they're getting though its gonna sell out fairly quick I'd think.

OK, well that confirms some stuff for me.
What is the set ticket price this year for camping, all weekend, with early entry?
    I can't find a consistent price anywhere!

I knew about 2 out of the 3 headliners for download well ahead of the announcements, admittedly I havn't done quite as much research on the ones for reading this year but what I've heard will probably end up being a little more than a rumor.

Thats the second worst joke I've ever heard, the worst joke being one you posted in another thread a couple of days ago about a tattoo parlour

Rumour is Muse, Franz Ferdinand and Pearl Jam, compare that with previous headliners Metallica, Green day, Iron Maiden, compare... doesnt really, Pearl Jam are pretty famous but the other 2 should really just be 2/3rd on the bill

i dunno, muse at reading a few years back was one of the best live performances i've ever seen of a band (wasnt really into them at the time either). was just incredible imo. dont really have a thought on the other 2, but the rumours in previous years have been mostly fake.

i think £125 was the 'last years early booking' price thing - i think it'll probably be an extra tenner htis year, plus a tenner if you want to go in on weds.

Audioslave have been rumored for it aswell, to be fair the huge bands like maiden/metallica aren't gonna be touring forever so some new headliner's have gotta start appearing soon but I hardly think franz ferdinand despite they're popularity are ready for somthing like that.,

I don't think those rumours are the final lineup, in an interview with mean fiddler the guy was very excited about 1 particular headliner which he refused to give clues about, I think they've been very careful not to leak info about that 1 band. Although I was at a less than jake gig on friday night and they came on stage drunk and announced "we'll be rocking at the reading and leeds festival this year! WOOOOO!" hehe

I'll be getting tickets for leeds fest tonight. I've been going for the past 6 years and every year its sold out faster, regardless of the headliners. It was after a few days last year, when I had to get my tickets on ebay T in the park surprisingly sold out in a few days this year and Leeds/Reading fest is much more popular, added with the fact that glastonbury isn't on. Leeds/reading fest are making a big thing of tickets going on sale this year with headliners announced 6pm, full lineup 7:15pm and tickets at 7:30pm so everyone is able to phone in. My prediction is they'll sell out in 3 hours, although you can guarantee around half of those tickets will appear on ebay tomorrow.
