Tom Cruise: Getting More Retarded With Each Day

The couple, who have been engaged since June 2005, plan to marry in late summer or early autumn, according to Cruise.

The Mission Impossible star has also claimed he knew Holmes, 27, was pregnant even before she told him.

Last week Cruise said on US television that Catholic-born Holmes has already joined him as a follower of the Church of Scientology.

In the GQ interview, Cruise defended the religion's doctrine that childbirth should be completed in silence.

"It's really about respecting the woman," he said. "It's not about her not screaming."

Cruise said earlier this month that their baby was due "any day now".

The baby will be the first for Holmes, while Cruise has two adopted children from his marriage to Nicole Kidman.

In the olden days Midwifes used to cook up the placenta to new Mums because of the nutritional value, Jon and i were watching this programme on telly the other night where this woman cooked up hers and fed it to her whole family :crazy: she made pate and all sorts out of it :eek:

there was something on telly the other night about that. that Hugh Fearnly-whittinstall or whatever he is called, the one that did that river cottage cookery program, well he cooked up a placenta for some weird family, and he even had some of it himself, and some of it was raw, made into pate, and they all looked like they were enjoying it immensely. barf.

hmmm, well tom cruise has always been a ball bag. i found it especially satisfying when that journalist squirted him with water, shame it wasnt a placenta.

It wouldnt surprise me if he did say this, however after I saw my partner in labour during January I would be surprised if he actually went through with eating the placenta and also cord as it doesnt look very appertising :D

Saying that I feel sorry for his partner as she seems to have been brainwashed by all this scientology (sp) belives.

Placentaphagy (eating placentas) isn't actually that abnormal, it's apparently very good for women & makes sure they don't get post partum depression cos they're full of hormones...not so normal for men to eat them though! and as for the whole silence & no pain killer stuff i think maybe he needs tto be part of a birth himself before he makes judgements

Yeah thats right it is supposed to be good for the woman - absolutely no benefit to the man though. Mr Cruise has also been quite outspoken about psychiatry and how depressed people should seek guidance from scientology experts rather than get counselling through psychiatric services. Lets face it the mans justa little prick at the end of the day - pay him no attention. Another classic case of religious delusion.

There was a poster prior to chadders supposedly referencing some updated info. It was removed but the rest of the thread remained.

Unless this thread gets hidden/removed I guess we'll meet here again in 2016 :)
