Citylink and Parcelforce automated phone answering system

What do you think about it?

I kind of like citylink's one, just put in consignment number and select date. Parcelforce's voice regonition system is half-decent (although it had been *very* horrible with foreign last names, but other messages like address and post code came out fine)

One question, if they can get an automated phone system, why can't they make the system *online* and hence at least save me 5p not to call through the phone

parcelforce do - ive used it. They've messed me round my both the phone and the internet

I just use the local no. for Citylink - usually gets picked up in 3 rings

I had to use the parcelfarce system a few weeks back, easier for me to do the 14 mile round journey to their depot. The automated systemk kept getting the time wrong and then sort of terminating the call, someone else tried it and got exactly the same result.
I have in the past had probs' with them, someone who worked there gave me the telephone number so I could call direct as the depot numbers were all ex-directory/not published, they obviously didn't want staff wasting time with customers....

I use Parcel2go a lot and have had a few late collections, I tried email and the phone number on their site, complete waste of time. I looked up the number for the company FAM logistics and got their office phone number, a girl answered straight away and sorted it out while I was on the line.......
