Hehe, thats cool! :) I remember I always used to try to make things like that with marbles and dominos and various other things when I was a kid.... I could only have dreamed of them being that good though! :)
Mad japanese genious!
Got that jingle stuck in my head now :O_o1:
Wow cool although one or two were just everyday kids toys....
Wonder what the words on those green signs meant? anyone?
awseome but that music if i hear it one more time I sweat am going to flip :s
i loved the way the marble will trigger something to then re-use the marbel again in another way on some of them. very very clever
shame there isn't a haigher quality version you can download
Perfect for a Friday morning :)

wat can i say? they're japanese.. delicate geniuses..
That's great - I noticed they used a Marmite Jar (9.19 mins) in one of them. Didn't know the Japanese liked Marmite let alone were able ti buy it.
That is probably the coolest thing I have ever seen on the internet, and I've been here 10 years. There simply isn't a superlative that does that justice:D.
EDIT: Even IRL this sort of thing is still cool. When I went to Japan, the hotel I stayed in in Tokyo was near Roppongi (only a 10 minute walk away) but in a relatively sedate area. Walking down towards Roppongi to get the subway one day, I noticed a funny looking object on the opposite pavement and crossed over to have a look. When I got there it turned out to be a kinetic sculpture along the lines of this. Over the course of 10 minutes or so loads of ball bearings would run round an amazing course of runs, chutes, lifts and slides, over and over, 24/7. I stood there utterly transfixed for about half an hour. No other passer by gave it a second glance. The whole thing lived in a perspex box about 2m cubed, and according the the plaque had been there since 1985. My Rough Guide to Japan dedicated at least 40 pages to Tokyo and yet this marvel didn't even get a mention. A quarter of a mile from the most debauched area of Tokyo was this incredible thing of beauty. Japan is a quite incredible country:).
just watched it again, the thimble looking thing at 9mins is SIC!!
The timing is incredible in some of the runs, truely awesome clip
That was one of the most brilliant and annoying clips i have ever seen, the music nearly drove me crazy but i couldnt stop watching it!!!
Yeah, same hear. It made me laugh more than anything though :lol:Quote:

Does anyone have a non-Google Video Player file for this? I want to use it for my students, but obviously the classroom computers won't have GVP.
There is no such thing as a Google Video Player, it's just Flash which most computers will have installed. In the uni I go to, this is installed widely as some course materials (animations) are in flash movies.
if you click on download you get a .gvp file. Open this is in notepad and you have a very long URL pointing to a regular AVI file. You can download this no problem, although the server doesn't report the file size, the file is about 30MB if i remember right (it's on my works laptop)
Not to be pedantic or anything...Quote:

It's so cool too...
That was brilliant lol. I especialy loved the use of magnets in some of them. I just found another on the same site, its a half hour long all in one setup. They must've done this in warehouse and the ammount of money and trys must have been massive :D
