Your bizarre quirks/traits

So whats your quirks/traits?

Mine are..

Well i..

- I like paring letters up in a word and if theres on which isnt paired up i get annoyed such as "id io t".

- I talk to myself when i know im going somewhere so whatever they ask me i have an answer for it.

- I can't sleep unless the room is completely dark.

- I always bounce my right leg up and down when im bored or nervous.

- I always put my hand in my pocket to check if items are still there.

- I always double check house door incase i aint closed it properly.

- Talk to myself out loud when im angry and in some cases get funny looks.

- I can't stand still and have always got to be on the move otherwise i get quite agitated.

- Also i love clicking on right hand side mouse button when i don't need to and it annoys me.

Can an admin move this to general discussion forums plz :)

- I bounce my legs up and down when bored

- Talk to my self if im in a bad mood

- Give people funny looks, its really funny seeing the reactions :p

- Im really good at the air guitar, but the one with mass is poo :(

This is fantastic - it's like mass group therapy.

Anyhoo, here's me:

I talk to myself constantly. I'll narrate my way through whatever activity I'm doing. (Eg, if I'm cooking a meal, I'll pretend to be Jamie Oliver and explain what I'm doing to an imaginary 'camera') Also, I'll find myself rehearsing conversations that I anticipate having with people (although they rarely actually happen!) so that I know what to say in advance.

Say I'm walking to my car and its dark, and I'm walking behind a lone person (particularly women) I'm always acutely aware of what they might be thinking, for fear of scaring them. I'm always concerned they might think I'm following them or something. Sometimtes I'll cross the road just to make myself feel better about it

I drum on things - table, mousemat, steering wheel of the car, parts of my own body, whatever comes to hand. Drives the missus up the wall. Also making 'beatbox' noises with my mouth and tapping my teeth together (which I'm sure I'll regret later in life as my teeth fall out)(ok, those ones not so wierd since I used to DJ and still have music in my head all the time)

I love people watching, to the extent that sometimes the missus has to hit me and go 'stop staring at that person!' It's nothing sinister, I just find people, everything about them and how we're all different, fascinating.

I'm a lazy bugger when it comes to cleaning, me girlfriends even worse. Consequently our house is a tip. Every couple of weeks however, it really gets to me, and I fly into a fit of cleaning rage, this entails me cleaning the house top to bottom while girlfriend sits on the sofa with her head in her hands, and I shout random abuse about how she's a lazy cow (despite me being just as instrumental in its messiness as her) Several hours later, I will beam with exhausted pride at our clean, shiny house, and vow never to be messy again. Then we start the cycle again

I do all those things too :)

I keep brushing new things as if there is some invisible layer of dust bulding up every few seconds... ("Must stay perfect.... must stay perfect").

I Like shiney and flashy things and have to buy them even if I dont need them (I'm not refering to rings and such, just other stuff).

When I see a bargain and I cant get it, I end up on a crusade to get something for the same price but better, and always end up with something 10x more expensive that I dont really need....

I keep fiddling with the twisty dial on any watch that I am wearing (if it has one).

I keep adjusting things untill they look perfect, but as they half the time never do, I just end up fiddling with it indeffinately.

whenever its dark and im walking in dodgy areas i get really alert and look every where, and make a point of noting car reg. plates down, incase it hits me or something :p

also when i listen to my discman i get really alert, look behind me all the time and that, as i cant hear.

Oh, and i chew my plectrums more than i actually use them to play with

Oh my god I'm not the only one to do wierd things like the above!! These are the already mentioned things I do:

i always click the right mouse button by accident, like if i'm reading a page and my hand is resting on the mouse, the finger over the right button seems really heavy and just clicks it.

i MUST sleep on the right side of the bed (if u're facing the bed from the bottom) and ALWAYS sleep facing the nearest wall (dunno why, just always have done :p)

i have an obsession with pink fluffy things... even just pink things. If it's pink, i MUST have it. :D

oh and i like to have my nose licked :p

Heres me: -

- I double check my alarm every night, and the volume.
- I shake my legs when im typing (usually)
- I swear too much
- I listen to music extremely loud and have to have a loud amp
- I cruise in my car with the windows down
- I always goto bed after 1am
- I usually download por.....portraits of my favourite footballers :)
- I walk like a celebrity (the "look at me" walk) LOL

Thats exactly the same as me, but it gets really annoying after a while and i shout at my mouse although i know its me :confused:.

Yep I can't stop playing with the mouse (clicking the buttons fast usually) whilst I'm reading stuff on the net, etc.

I always shake my right leg too, and tap my feet on the ground, which constantly annoys my parents downstairs.

I play with the menus on my monitor whilst waiting for stuff to happen, too.

I just realised some of my own quirks after reading some - like highlighting text as I read it, and picking my bogeys and wiping them under the desk (only do this at work though).

I tend to double click random things on my taskbar as well sometimes or just switch windows/applications for the hell of it.

Im not a fashion guru, but something about girls who wear skirt-over-trousers makes me go "wow!" :p

I like winding people up, so sometimes I disagree with them purposefully just for my own amusement (though not when I meet them for the 1st time).

If Im doing something, then I dont like to leave it half done - even if it means no sleep.

Ive got a wooden bead bracelet which I play around with (unconsciously) . . . as I do with elastic bands.

I really love letting other people hear/hate the music I play through my MD walkman full blast in the street/bus :D

I used to just fal over randomly.. cos I thought it would be fun (since stopped doing that cos I started to break :-s)

I have a pickle addiction.... gone through a big jar of Branston in about 3 days...

I can't watch TV... dunno why, just can't watch it, but I can watch a download take 14 hours to come through on my ISDN....

I have to put all my tools back into my toolcase EXACTLY where I took em out from - even the drop mats and handy wipes.....

I can only shoot properly if I'm wearing my "special" ear defenders....

I spend WAAAAAY too much time on my computer....

Most of the time I sit with my arm in the air when watching TV.

I cannot play a console when I am to the right of the TV, left or centre I am fine.

I too have an issue with the right mouse button, I rest my finger on it too heavily.

Cant think of anything else.. :/

On the bus, I have to sit on the LEFT side, usually even if it means sitting beside someone smelly.

Everytime I "defrag" a computer, I will just sit there and watch it do it's 1% . . . 2% . . . .

I double check everything all the time- its compulsive and annoying am trying to get out of it.

I cant use a computer without a mouse wheel espeiclaly for net surfing i have to have it simple as that. If im at college using a dodgy mouse (ALL OF THEM :mad: ) and the mouse dosent respond (you know what i mean judders etc :P ) i want to SMASH the bleeding thing into a million pieces

If no one is in the house when I leave it, I will remember to lock up - if there is someone in the house when I leave it, I will forget the godddamn keys. Just like going on holiday, I will pack loadsa batteries and forget the bleedin' camera!

I tend to "wander" sometimes, then realise Im not going in the right direction I want to go, so I instantly turn around and walk the other way . . . then realise that I shouldnt be going that way at all, so I turn back . . . then realise I should walk up a bit before turning again coz people are looking at me :p

I ALWAYS have to have a ruckie with me EVERYWHERE I go - I keep a mini survival kit (MD player, MDs, batteries, book, scarf, gloves, change of top, bottle of water + other stuff), saves me skin more times than I care to remember.

oh yeah, sometimes I drive on autopilot.. fully aware of whats going on around me, bt I end up at work when i'm supposed to be at the range or something...

And I have to face backwards when sitting on a train..... :confused:

mine are:
chewing my pens to beyond recognition
biting my nails
day dreaming all the time
leaning back on chairs
drawing on anything.
