Just be polite and calm. If you can make a little joke in your answer then that might be good. I think I remember I was doing a mock interview thing at uni (done properly) one of the posts was at birmingham, they asked if that was OK, and I replied, Yes, I should be able to pick the accent up quite quick. Which got a laugh all round.

You'll be OK. But all the best anyways.

Yeah as said just be calm and speak clearly.. etc. The usual really. Try to sound enthusiastic and think of a couple of reasons before going in, as to why you chose this College over any other one, they like to hear that!

When I had mine a couple months ago they just asked me about why I chose the College and what I personally thought was good about it. Then went on to talk about my options, and my current grades I had, and what I was expected in a couple months at GCSE. Then discussed a possible time table, and the daily routine within the college.

Its also worth having a couple of questions to hand, in which you can ask the interviewer, as it will show your interest in the College.

    Hope it all goes well.

Yeah, just what everyone else has said really. Have some standard answers ready, like why that uni/college, why that subject, but don't know it so well that when you answer it sounds planned.

Generally, I felt, when I went to my uni interviews, they were selling the uni to me rather than the other way round, if you get an interview they generally give you an offer, unless you really mess it up.

Just try to stay calm, although thats sometimes easier said than done.

My interview for college was really short, I basically had to list all my GCSE predicted grades, and talk about what courses I wanted to do.

Well it went ok, had to do a test type thing on the computer for an hour (to test my maths and english skills), then went onto the interview which lasted for about 20 minutes.

All looks good, I have been invited to go in June to meet up with everyone in the class, get to know everyone and the teacher better, and we're having a BBQ on the field.

Edit: Oh and the amount of chavs there was scary, I'd say at least 99.5% of the students I saw at the reception were chavs.

I got Level 3 on Literacy, and Level 1 on Numeracy.

Not sure why I did so bad on Numeracy, my predicted grade for my GCSE is a C but I think I will be able to get a B. And I will get at least a C for english but more likely to be a B or A.

The guy who was interviewing me said it was probably a glitch and not to worry about it.

Most colledges are pretty relaxed about entry grades as long as you get C's in your core subjects. If you dont you can retake them alongside A-level.

I found they only ever used my GCSE scores for reports, as a comparision, and for predicted grades. However GCSE results in english and maths can matter when going onto uni. So try your best

    Indeed! Thanks.

The interviewer said that the course I want to do (BTEC national diploma) is equivilant to 3 A levels, so I will be able to go straight into Uni after if I wanted.
