    Why....?

Why did we go to Ikea?

Anyone here know what possesed us to think that , just because it was ok last weekend, when we popped in for a quick look, and it was calm amd serene, that it might be likethat this weekend?

And besides, when you've planned ya puchase, and get there to find it says on the item "Out of Stock", the sensible man and woman leave.

They don't re asses their purchases, re plan "in-shop" , recalculate, and decide to make a different purchase, only to find in the warehouse section that THOSE are out of stock too

The only good news is that I got a mountain of AA batteries for my Sky Soldier. Other than that....

    dead loss

    I hate Ikea.....a lot

I NORMALLY love Ikea... but today, even I began to lose my patience with it. Grrr

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.... It was them that started me drinking.

You didn't buy a hotdog? For shame! Certainly some of the best shop-bought hot dogs in the UK

Me and a previous girlfriend 5 times removed used to do the same trick. Depending on who was driving at the time, we'd pop past Ikea while one jumped out and went to buy hotdogs and the other circled the car park cos its "always" busy in Leeds I repeat I didn't make a habit of this,I am in no way over weight. It just seemed like a bit of an exciting way to get some scran.

I like the stuff there, but I loathe going there. However, to make it a bit more bearable, they are opening one in Ashton under lyne, which is about 4 miles down the motorway for me, so that means when we do need to get some stuff from there, we can go first thing in the morning, get the stuff and leave again

i like Ikea. Because i generally go to the one in Glasgow (and i live in Aberdeen) it is uaually during the week when i decide to go down and visit some family for a few days. Can quite happily spend the day at Braehead if i'm in the right mood, last time i even went to their maritime museum there, very interesting

some say i'm a little odd though...

I thought there were plans for one in Stockport, just off the A6. This is good if its definately being built in Ashton though, means I dont have to trek to Warrington anymore .
