Really thought they were dead and buried at 2-0 down, and again with 60 mins on the clock and no 2nd goal.
They did deserve it though, Steaua did nothing at all in the 2nd half.
ive been on the edge of my seat all night watching this, the first 20mins i was about to turn it over im so glad i didnt. Theres beer ALL over my floor from when its spilt when they scored

I had alread lost hope... good for them anyway.... what if their next match will be similar in a way (3 times in a row), that would be jus crazy.
The thing that gets me is they did it EXACTLY the same - the goal timings were almost the same, the score was the same, and again they won somehow. I'll never hear the last of it at uni if Newcastle don't qualify for europe and Boro do.
It wasn't really his fault for the first goal, he did well to save it as it was bouncing in front of him. He had little control of the ball and his main concern was stopping the first shot. I thought he was let down by the defence but Dica took the rebound well.Quote:

What a game wasn't it. I'm sat on the sofa, beer in left hand, remote in right hand. "Oh look, Steau scored again, another great night for English teams" i say to my mate. "No, no it's not over yet" he says. Of course he's right, a football match isn't over till the final whistle. "Yeah ok" i say, just about to go down the pub for a meal. But something inside me said "footie, footie" :)
And my god, am i glad i watched that match. To come back from almost certain defeat, twice, is astonishing. If there's any justice in the world, the only name on that UEFA cup begins with M.
I'd just like to say to all 'boro fans, congratulations and good luck in the final and thank you for a game that reminds me, that i, as well as being a football fan, am a fan of any football.

Did you hear about the ticket allocation for the final though? Each team get 9,000 tickets apparently, so thats 18,000 and the ground can hold 35,200. That means nearly half the seats going to anyone else! I think they should have been allocated more than a measley 9,000.

Maybe you're right MrChris....i heard it on football focus this morning, Mark Lawrenceson said it, i guess we mean the same thing. Yeah i heard them say 9000 for boro, i thought he also meant 9000 for seville too but maybe im wrong! :)
Im not a Middlesborough fan, but i thouroughly enjoyed watchin bothe the quarter & semi final matches.
Personally i hope they go all the way & win it
