Shows you what 500million can buy you
Cant buy you the champions league cup tho it seems, even thought arsenal might get it on a budget of 10% that :p
But to be honest to pull a 500 mil team of stars to actually work together is quite amazing ;)
does show you that within a year os so money can buy you success lol
not to mention i hate seeing one of the most boring teams win the premiership
I could hear the fans signing from my bedroom.
Just hope that Rooney is going to be okay!
i wouldnt call some of them stars :undecided Carvalho, Ferreira, Drogba, del HornoQuote:

I wonder how much money extra they got for doing it for the second year running.
Chelsea have played amazingly well tho, as much I hate to say it. Yes, they have used money, but the team they have put together are playing so well together. And they have english players- who acutlly play (arsene note that will ya!).
SHame about Rooney, seems he will be out of the world cup, six weeks. probll take 8. Should take him tho, incase hes fit for the semis and the final :) we'll need him.
i take my hat off to the likes of Lampard, Joe Cole and Terry, but its the whole air of arrogance about Chelsea which really drives me mad. Becuase they've got the backing of a billionnaire with a seemingly endless wallet they think they rule the premiership.
If you want to see diving out of the premiership....get rid of Jose, he's shown Robben and Drogba how to become masters
EDIT: gutted about Rooney though he'll be totally missed, Owen dosen't look too healthy either.
Was surprised to hear that the chosen one had thought about leaving once or twice this season - do you think anybody else would be able to give them the results they have got even with that amount of cash?
Personally, I think they have done well as have the rest of the premiership - some teams have still managed to take points of them
It's nae just the money thought, Claudio Ranieri had the money aswell - he didn't do anything special with it.
Jose is a special manager it has to be said.
pointless thread TBH. because i HATE chelsea with a passion
I am a a big Arsenal fan, and I too despise Chelsea, but fair dues, they managed to win back to back titles, which we haven't (yet) under Wenger, so I wond deny that they have been ruthlessly efficient.
However, the thing is, when time has passed, i think to myself (and i am obviously a little biased here) what will that team be remembered for? Man Utd, as much i hated them, i had (and they deserved respect) because they were consistent whilst actually playing exciting, attacking football - for 6/7 years or whatever it was.
And Arsenal, on the occasions where we have won it (an even when we havent) i think that it would be the biggest diehard fanboy who could deny that in out pomp (when we had that devastating left hand side) we have played arguably some of the most breathtaking one-touch football ever witnessed.
Now i respect winners, but lets face it, they are just EFFICIENT and thats all. The only upside is that they have several English players who have blossomed recently for them, which can only be good with the world cup coming up.
Rant over...
...May 17th - get ready to cry Spurs fans... :)
onto the more important question...
will they win it next season?
i dont think so. personally i think liverpool have a good chance, but i would say that being a supporter :)
i certainly hope not, im totally sick of them.Quote:

i hate Chelsea because Jose is a moaning tart....
No doubt Chelsea have won it- but Still Jose will still moan about the fouls their was..
Maybe Jose needs a reality check n that the fouls his team did on Ronaldo are a disgrace...
Hell-even his own fans have a chant for him
"Sit Down,Shut Up"

arsenal would of won back to back titles if manu wasnt at their prime..
Like him or not, Mourhino is the best thing to happen to the Premiership for a few years. With him, Fergie and Wenger there's always going to be fun and games.
As for Chelsea thinking they rule the Premiership - well, they do. Back to back titles, big favorites for next season.
I'm no fan, but credit where its due. Brave man to bet against them next season.
End of the day they over the period of 10 months Chelsea are the premiership champions and that is all there is to it. People can talk about money, transition, whatever.. maybe some truth might be in that but Mourinho is the top man, and his delivered the goods.
I'm hoping next season is even tighter race to the title and i think there is every chance because we are finally starting to have a top 6 again in England, where as it's really been a top 3 and the rest pre 2004.
I am a Man Utd fan and although the whole Chelsea money thing is annoying i can't deny that it has helped raise the level of performance required by the chasing teams (like us).
Players are beginning to realise that they need to give 100% all season in order to win the title. This is good as it means when i'm paying £30 to watch a game, hopefully i'm getting my moneys worth!
The Premier is one of the best, if not the best league in the world, and if the teams keep having to push themselves it can only get better…a very good thing.
